FAR OUT NASHVILLE, named Best New Festival by the Nashville Scene, is “an acid-soaked church of audio and visual delights” founded in 2017 by Kari Leigh Ames and Brianne O’Neill. In 2018, Ames and filmmaker John Warren organized an evening of psychedelic and experimental cinema in the Blue Room at Third Man Records.

This year’s festival will be A Summer Solstice Happening (June 20-22, 2019). A portion of the proceeds from the festival will go to the nonprofit Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies, which supports investigation into careful and safe uses for psychedelics in areas like treating post-traumatic stress.
